Babylon's Peak, Chenin Blanc 2024
Babylon’s Peak is a family-owned estate perched on the slopes of the Paardeberg mountains in the Swartland region of South Africa, with some vineyards reaching around 700 m above sea level. The Basson family has tended this land for four generations, working predominantly dry-land bush vines in decomposed granite soils to achieve purity of fruit and sense of place. Sustainably run and committed to tradition. Pale gold with a vibrant green-tinge, this 100% Chenin Blanc has aromas of bright green apple, white peach and a streak of honeysuckle, underpinned by stony minerality. The palate is fresh and crisp, offering citrus zest, white fleshed stone fruit and that signature granite-driven minerality; finishing dry, clean and lively. A beautifully poised Chenin with effortless appeal, perfect now or over the next 3-4 years.
